This time last year, I shared that I’d experienced a medical setback; and friends, you showed up for me in ways that shaped my entire healing journey. Your messages, check-ins, prayers, financial gifts, and quiet encouragement gave me a kind of momentum I didn’t have on my own. I will never forget that.
I tried to follow the leads of creators in my niche to inspire you all to create marketing plans, “wrap the year in a bow,” to set brand goals, and 2026 resolutions. But this time, it wasn’t easy to sit with, which is why it’s arriving a little later than planned. It wasn’t appropriate considering what the world is going through.
In full transparency: I’m just grateful to be here. Grateful to have my mind, my voice, and the ability to use my gifts to support my family. And if I’m being honest, 2025 was not the year I imagined.
My word for the year was discipline. Not grind. Not perfection.Just… staying with myself long enough to keep going.
But discipline looks very different when your body has its own agenda.
This Year My Body Rewrote My Pace

There were months this year when healing became the main character. When the smallest movements felt heavy. When I was frustrated with myself for needing rest, even though I preach mindfulness for a living.
Discipline wasn’t the loud, motivational kind.It was the quiet kind—the kind that whispers:
“One more step. One more day. Keep showing up in the ways you can.”
And I did.Not gracefully. Not consistently. But faithfully.
Somewhere in that slow rebuilding, life started blooming again.Thank you to the folks at the Stretch Lab, and Pivot Fitness for putting me back together again.
The Beautiful Things That Still Happened
Even while navigating physical setbacks, somehow:
• I wrote a book—a real one, with my whole heart in the pages.• I mentored creators who reminded me why community matters.• I connected with my extraordinary sons who grew with me through every pivot.• I kept showing up for Synergy Squad, even on hard days.• I rebuilt trust with my body—not through pushing, but listening.• I spoke at conferences—sharing stories that healed, connected, and converted.• I reconnected with God - through prayer, song, and the memories of my ancestors.
This year forced me to practice a new definition of success:one anchored in sustainability, not speed.
And for that, I’m grateful.
What I’m Carrying Into 2026
2026 feels like a year defined by alignment rather than discipline.

A year where:
I don’t force clarity—I cultivate it.
I don’t chase opportunities—I attract what’s meant.
I don’t overperform— I stay rooted in intention.
And I want that same energy for you.

A Quiet Triumph: My Book

One of my proudest accomplishments this year is writing a book while healing.
It feels like a testament to everything I’ve been learning:that creativity lives in us even when we’re tired, that softness doesn’t erase ambition, and that the story you’re meant to tell will find its way out of you.
If my journey resonated with you this year—or if you’re craving a gentler relationship with your ambition—this book is for you.
A Final Note of Gratitude

Thank you for reading my words.Thank you for sharing this journey with me.Thank you for the grace you’ve given me on the messy days and the promise-filled days.
I’m walking into 2026 with a different kind of confidence—the kind built on faith, boundaries, joy, and a discipline that didn’t abandon me even when everything else shifted.

I hope you walk into the new year feeling capable, supported, and aligned with the life you’re building.
