The collective energy of June is shifting you from internal integration to unapologetic expression.
June is pulling you from quiet integration into unapologetic expression. This month is an invitation to practice Bold Visibility—showing up in your full brilliance without waiting for an algorithmic green light, while still honoring your nervous system and your real-life capacity.
True visibility isn’t about making more noise; it’s about standing comfortably in your own light, honoring your nervous system, and letting your real community find you.
Keeping Your Creative Nervous System Aligned
A few years ago, I would have told you burnout comes from working too much.
Now I think it often comes from working against yourself.
There's a difference.
Most of us know how to push. We meet deadlines, answer emails, support our families and communities, and keep going long after our bodies start sending warning signals.
What many of us don't know is how to listen.
After navigating health challenges, career transitions, community leadership, and the strange experience of building a business in the age of AI, I've learned that success isn't just about managing time. It's about managing the nervous system moving through that time.
I call this keeping the Creative Nervous System aligned.
Your Creative Nervous System isn't just your brain. It's the relationship between your body, attention, creativity, energy, and capacity. When it's aligned, ideas flow, decisions feel clearer, and work feels meaningful.
When it's not, everything feels heavier than it should.
Here are five things I pay attention to.
1. Pace Matters More Than Speed
One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that urgency and importance aren't the same thing.
Many of us spend our days reacting to someone else's timeline. An email arrives. A notification appears. A request lands in our inbox. Suddenly everything feels urgent.
Before agreeing to something, I ask:
Does this need to happen now?
Or does someone want it to happen now?
Those are very different questions.
Alignment often requires slowing down long enough to see the difference.
2. Protect Your Inputs
As creators, professionals, and curious humans, we consume an enormous amount of information.

At some point, input becomes noise.
Whenever I feel scattered, I ask myself:
What am I consuming that isn't helping me create, connect, or recover?
The answer is usually obvious.
The goal isn't to disconnect from the world. It's to stop letting every headline, algorithm, and notification take up space in your nervous system.
3. Listen to the Whispers
The body is often the first to notice when we're out of alignment.
Unfortunately, many of us wait for a breakdown before paying attention.

For me, the signals are usually subtle:
Poor sleep
Tension in my shoulders
Irritability
Migraine triggers
A feeling that everything suddenly seems harder than it did yesterday
Those whispers matter.
Your body isn't interrupting productivity. It's providing information.
The sooner you listen, the less dramatic the lesson needs to be.
4. Honor Capacity
For years, I measured myself by what I could accomplish.
Now I try to measure myself by what I can carry well.

That's a different standard.
Every week, I ask:
What can I realistically hold without overwhelming my nervous system?
Sometimes the answer is three major priorities.
Sometimes it's one.
Capacity changes.
Wisdom means adjusting instead of pretending it hasn't.
5. Stay Connected
Despite all our technology, humans are still relational creatures.
I've noticed that isolation drains me faster than meaningful work.

Examples include:
A good conversation
A community gathering
A coworking session
A walk with a friend
These things regulate us in ways productivity apps never will.
Connection reminds us we don't have to carry everything alone.
A Daily Practice
When things feel noisy, I return to the same framework I use throughout my work:
BREATHE
Balance — How does my body feel today?
Reflect — What emotion is asking for attention?
Engage — What deserves my focus?
Align — Does today's plan match today's capacity?
Trust — What do I already know?
Harness — What's the next meaningful action?
Exhale — What can wait?
None of these questions require perfection.
They simply invite awareness.
Final Thought
The world is constantly encouraging us to move faster.
Build more.
Produce more.
Optimize more.
But creativity doesn't always thrive under pressure.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is pause long enough to notice what our nervous system has been trying to tell us.
Because the goal isn't to become a machine.
The goal is to stay human while creating extraordinary things.
Now that your creative nervous system is aligned, here’s how we’re putting that grounded energy to work in June.
Build in Beta: From Curiosity to Ownership
The Build in Beta kickoff on May 20th was unreal!

Build in Beta at the Gathering Spot DC
We brought together a room of absolute beginners and seasoned professionals, dropped the tech jargon, and actually put AI to work. Seeing so many of you boot up Zo Computer, claim your credits, and instantly start spinning up your own websites and automations on night one is exactly what the Build in Beta movement is all about.
A massive shoutout to Joanna Kurylo (Growth Lead) and Rob Cobb (Engineer) from the Zo Computer team for tapping in live to support our builders, and of course, The Gathering Spot DC for hosting the perfect launchpad.
But we aren’t slowing down. Because the energy was so high and you caught the momentum, I’m hosting an exclusive, private Build in Beta session this Monday to keep your hands on the keyboard.
This is a closed-door, cameras-on space to untangle your specific business bottlenecks, refine the workflows you started last night, and ensure your system is working for you while you sleep.
We are transitioning from casual AI consumers to AI Operations Architects. We aren’t just renting space in the future—we are building the systems we own.
If you want to keep expanding your AI workflows and system architectures between our main Build in Beta accelerator sessions, make sure you’re locked into my ecosystem we’re continuing the work on June 10th with Karima Williams and June 24th with Adalbert De La Cruz at the Gathering Spot.

Before you say yes to another visibility opportunity, ask:
“Can my nervous system cash the checks my calendar is writing?”
If not, renegotiate the timeline or the format instead of abandoning the idea.
